‘Tis the Season

MC1

Well, because I haven’t been very good at posting this year I have decided to at least give a little update!  This year has been such a wonderful blessing, with so many photographs of amazing families… and I can’t wait to post photos from my busiest holiday season yet!  Hopefully I will have a little bit of help with keeping up with my online presence in 2014, and I can post some of my favorites from this amazing past year!

Until then, have a wonderful Christmas season – full of love, laughter, and sweet moments with your families!  I can’t wait to see you all again next year!

Beautiful Miss T|3 Months Old

Little T is just as sweet as she looks!  Such a happy-go-lucky baby!

Three months is a fun time to get the funny little baby looks that are so sweet and personal to YOUR little one.  Miss T was a trooper and let us dress her and accessorize (her Mama found some ADORABLE items) and even let us put her in a few props!

Sammy D|Six Month, In-Home Session

blog1

I get asked often about indoor options for photographs.  Normally, I prefer to do nearly all sessions outdoors and take advantage of the natural light.   There are a few circumstances that warrant indoor photographs.  Little Sammy’s six-month photographs were a great opportunity to work indoors!  This option works out very well for children under one year old, and who are mostly sitting still ;-)  It is also a great option for young children when the weather is too hot or too cold to be outdoors.  These were taken in my home, which is definitely an option if this is something you would like to do.

Sammy was just as happy as can be for our time together and I am so happy with the smiles we captured!

Mr. M|Christmas Newborn Session 2012

This was the first session (I think) that I have incorporated a Christmas tree…and I just love the outcome!

Little M was a champ!  He let me change his outfit, attempt to put him in a stocking (no such luck, stocking was too small darn it!), and somehow even managed to catch the sweet smile in the photo above.  Beautiful family, and great outfit finds by little M’s Mom :-)

Sweet Little R|3 Months

Little R is just adorable!

She wasn’t quite into the chilly November morning that we had planned their session, so we moved indoors.  I am so glad we did, because we were blessed with some sweet smiles!

D Family|Field Family Maternity Session

I love photographing expanding families.  It is such a short period (that can sometimes feel like forever) of our lives, and it is so important to preserve those memories.

This beautiful family visits their family here every now and then and I am honored that they have had me out to take photos of them twice on their trips here.  The little man that they were expecting has already made his debut and I hope one day I will have the chance to meet him and photograph their family of four!

Little Miss S was just precious in her purple dress… makes me miss when my girlies were that little!

The B Family|Downtown 2012

blog4

Sometimes, getting a great family picture isn’t about sitting still and smiling.  Sometimes a great family photograph is capturing what your family is today… and with two young and busy boys…that was the plan with the B family!  I was very happy with the outcome, even catching a few of these busy little guys smiling and having fun together!

Thank you B family for trusting me again with your family memories, looking forward to seeing how much your little men have grown this fall too!
